Cheers: #CheeryOnTop
Challenge:
The ask was pretty straightforward: create a key visual to serve as a template for Cheers’ in-store Christmas promos. But we didn’t want to propose just another tactical ad, slap the brand logo in the corner, and call it a day. We set out to put a unique spin on it, in a way that only Cheers could.
Solution:
The inspiration was right in front of us: the brand name and promise which is Cheers to every moment.
Taking inspiration from both, we came up with the #CheeryOnTop (playing off the universal phrase “cherry on top”) as the thematic wrapper for the campaign to add festive cheer to every Christmas moment.
Besides the key visuals, we went a step further to show how this proposition could come to life with various content. Much of it fronted by Cheers’ recently-launched brand mascot Cheerpy; giving him an opportunity to show off his cheery personality and engage with the public for the first time.
And the personal #CheeryOnTop for me? Getting the opportunity to create my first-ever board game: Snacks & Ladders!
