Microsoft: Code; Without Barriers

Challenge:

Let’s face it. The tech industry still has a diversity issue. And in APAC, the lack of female representation is especially stark. It’s not just an HR issue. It holds back the kind of inclusive innovations the world need more than ever. That’s where Microsoft brought us in.

Solution:
We didn’t want to just create another campaign with a limited shelf life. We thought long-term and aimed to create something that could grow organically on its own. So we came up with Code; Without Barriers - a platform designed to support, inspire, and open doors for women in tech. And we invited the wider tech and business community to get involved.

We launched with 69 partner organisations across APAC, and have since expanded it with a podcast, YouTube series, mentoring, hackathons, skills challenges, certifications and even job opportunities. It’s now backed by hundreds of partners, including Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella himself.

Outcome:
* 1.3 million viewers for the launch event on Twitter
* Earned media attention of over 410 unique stories covered by top regional news outlets
* 40% increase in Microsoft’s Share of Voice (SOV)
* 11% increase in overall brand SOV
* 18 new Women in AI certification programs launched
* Over 2,800 women trained
* Over 7,600 developers across APAC participated in cloud skills challenges
