National Council of Social Service: Play is for Everyone
Reminding Singapore that play has no barriers
Challenge:
Despite Singapore increasing investment in inclusive playgrounds and activities, many people were still unaware that these spaces exist for children and adults with special needs.
Idea:
The real barrier to awareness wasn’t information. It was empathy. So rather than listing what was available, we created this heartfelt video around a universal feeling that everyone understands: the joy of play. By bringing together the authentic voices of children, parents, and teachers, we showed that inclusive play isn’t a special category. It’s for everyone.
Outcome:
The film resonated with Singaporeans from all walks of life, reinforcing NCSS’s position as a champion of inclusive communities and sparking wider conversations about how public spaces can better serve all.
